The reason I'm posting this before starting is to gauge interest and also see if anyone wants to lend their brainpower/python knowledge to the effort.

Of course, like any other plugin style tool it would require the plugin to be structured a certain way, but theoretically that would just be copying the normal copy/paste install instructions into a format readable by the script. I don't think it would be too different from the script I just wrote, so not super complicated. It could potentially uninstall the kit as well.

Simply put, the script would open up a module file, find a specified line, insert the new code before or after, comment out anything that needed commenting, and voila, a freshly installed kit. Originially this was intended to be used with WRECK, but I realized that it could be used for any kit that was code that needed to be inserted into native files. However, in trying to execute that idea anyway, I had a new, simpler idea that would accomplish a similar purpose.īasically, I have an idea for a python script that will install code kits. And as I mention there, I had an idea but its way beyond the scope of my abilities/knowledge.
